than £800,000 has been donated over the years by the Wesleyan
Charitable Trust. This has since been replaced by the Wesleyan
Charity Advisory Committee which is now generously supporting a
number of good causes.
During it's first 12 months Wesleyan Charity Advisory Committee
has made donations totalling over £60,000. A large proportion of
which has been donated to Marie Curie Cancer Care (opens in
new window), our Charity of the Year for the past three
years..
In 2008 we are supporting many activities organised by Marie
Curie Cancer Care including the Birmingham Brain Game for a second
year running.
The Committee are engaging and supporting staff in charity and
social events in respect of both the Charity of the Year and other
good causes.
Donations have been made to a range of charities including the
BBC Children in Need appeal, Red Nose Day, British Heart
Foundation, Acorns Children's Hospices, Cerebral Palsy West
Midlands, National Deaf Children's Society, Leukaemia Research,
Birmingham Children's Hospital and Foundation for Conductive
Education.
