Wesleyan with profits bond again ranked as a top industry performer

Wesleyan, the Birmingham-based financial services specialist for doctors, dentists, teachers and lawyers, has again been named as one of the top performers in a leading industry survey for the performance of its with profits bond.

In the Money Management survey*, the Wesleyan with profits bond was the best performer over ten years of those providers still open to new business, and performed above the industry average in eight of the ten year time periods in the survey.

The results, published this month (January 2016), show the bond continues to give Wesleyan savers some of the best long term payouts on their investments.

The survey looked at the 'cash in' value for a £10,000 initial investment in a with profit bond over one to ten years. A ten year investment in Wesleyan's with profits bond would have increased in value by 93% to £19,349.

Wesleyan Chief Executive Craig Errington said: "Our view is that with profits products can be an excellent long term saving option if taken with the right provider, providing some assurances if the stock market fluctuates.

"We believe our long-standing strategy of investing in quality equity holdings and retaining them, contributes significantly to the long term market leading payouts for our customers, as this survey has shown. Our with profits bond has the highest level of equity investment of all those surveyed still open to new business** and we are able to maintain this because of our financial strength.

"While some providers have announced they will no longer be taking on new with profits business in recent years, we remain committed as they are a popular investment with our professional customers, who are attracted by our specialist knowledge, strong investment performance and financial strength."

Wesleyan is the only life office to be ranked 10 out of 10 for ten successive years for financial strength in Cazalet Consulting's survey of with profits offices.
