Corporate Governance - Introduction
The Society continues to aim to meet the highest standards in corporate governance.
The Board is responsible to the Society’s policyholders for good corporate governance.
The Annotated Version for Mutual Insurers of the Combined Code on Corporate Governance was issued in July 2005 by the Association of Mutual Insurers (AMI) and Association of Friendly Societies.
The Board has reconfirmed it's intention to adopt the relevant provisions provided that they are in the interests of current and future policyholders.
This section of the site summaries the Society's governance arrangements and continued enhancements and explains those areas of the Combined Code where the Society does not comply.
