So, whether you need home insurance, car insurance or both, your RCGP membership entitles you to one extra cover product per policy, at no additional cost (see terms and conditions below for full details).

Risk must be acceptable to underwriters at normal term.

To verify your identity, help prevent fraud and carry out risk profiling to calculate your premium and payment options, insurers may obtain information about you from publicly available sources and trusted third parties. This may include a quotation search from a credit reference agency. This will appear on your credit report as a soft search and will be visible to other credit providers. It will be clear it’s a quotation and not a credit application by you.

Car/Home Promotion – Extra Cover Products Terms and Conditions

Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. These terms and conditions govern the Promotion.

1. Wesleyan Financial Services are offering one extra cover product (detailed below) free of charge when you take out a Home or Car policy through Wesleyan Financial Services (the “Promotion”).
2. You may choose one product from the following options for each Car Policy taken out:
   a. Car Breakdown – Full UK breakdown cover including Home Start cover
   b. Excess Protection – Protect the first £250 excess during your policy period
   c. Replacement Cover – Hire car cover in the event of theft, fire, or total loss
3. You may choose one product from the following options for each Home Policy taken out:
   a. Total Home Protection – Cover for home emergency, family legal expenses and key loss cover
   b. Excess Protection – Protect the first £250 excess during your policy period
4. The Promotion only applies to insurance policies sold by Wesleyan Financial Services.
5. The Promotion does not affect your statutory cancellation rights.
6. Full details of the product cover and suitability to your core policy will be discussed as part of the fact find. Any offer of insurance is dependent on the risks being acceptable to underwriters and exclusions may apply.
7. If the relevant Home or Car policy is cancelled, the extra cover product will also be cancelled. Anyone in the UK aged 18 and over and who is a current registered member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (“RCGP”) can participate in the Promotion.
8. The opening date for the Promotion is 17th May 2023. The closing date of the Promotion is 30th December 2023. Policies entered into before or after these dates will not be eligible for the Promotion.
9. To be eligible for the Promotion, you must quote code RCGP23 at the time of taking out the Policy.
10. These Terms and Conditions apply in addition to the Wesleyan General Insurance Terms of Business Agreement.
11. The Promoter reserves the right to replace the product options listed in these terms and conditions with an alternative product of equal or higher value in its absolute discretion or withdraw the Promotion at any time in its absolute discretion.
12. No cash alternative will be offered.
13. Insurance is not available in the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man.
14. Limits, exclusions and charges do apply. Full terms and conditions of the relevant policies and cover, including the policy benefits and exclusions, will be contained in the relevant policy wording and policy summary. Policy terms and conditions will be notified to you at the time the relevant Home or Car Policy is taken out. In the event of fraud, abuse, and/or an error affecting the proper operation of the Promotion, the Promoter reserves the right to end or suspend the Promotion; and/or amend these terms and conditions.
15. None of Wesleyan or any of their agents or distributors will in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate participants or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the Promotion except where it is caused by the negligence of Wesleyan or their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected. Participants are deemed to have accepted and be bound by these terms and conditions upon taking out the relevant Policy.
16. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse the Promotion to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
17. The decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of the Promotion is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
18. Users’ personal data will be collected, stored and processed for the purposes of administering and assessing the Promotion. Personal data supplied during the course of this Promotion will only be processed as set out in the Promoter’s privacy policy which can be found at wesleyan.co.uk/privacy.
19. The Promotion will be governed by English law and participants submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
20. The Promoter for this promotion is Wesleyan Financial Services Limited.
