Life insurance is a "wise buy" for doctors

Doctors considering taking out life insurance may wish to be made aware that it is has been called a "wise buy" by a leading finance website.

The Motley Fool said a person's death "could have serious fiscal consequences" on their family, the impact of which was measured at ten out of ten.

It also stated that life insurance is good value for money (nine out of ten) because of the competitiveness of the market place.

"The good news is that life insurance premiums have tumbled over the past decade, making this protection more attractive than it's ever been," the article read.

The nine out of ten rating puts life insurance ahead of payment protection insurance, home insurance and extended warranties in terms of value - putting it in joint first place with the mandatory car insurance.

It was suggested by the website last month that policies of this nature could be the main priority finance-wise for doctors and other professionals.

Doctors looking for financial advice should contact Wesleyan Medical Sickness.
