Medical students visiting film sets on gap years?
Medical students could be taking part in the new trend for visiting film sets, which is currently taking the gap year market by storm, according to an expert.
Would-be doctors may be among the 'set-jetters' - travellers who like to visit film sets such as those from Lord of the Rings, according to gapyear.com's Tom Griffiths.
"The first [piece of set-jetting] we saw was [with] The Beach and we still have lots of backpackers going off to Koh Tao to see where The Beach was set," he said.
"New Zealand for Lord of the Rings is popular and Madagascar is another one that has benefited."
Mr Griffiths did not say whether there is a growing number of people heading to Tunisia to see where parts of Star Wars were filmed.
According to Mintel Gap Year Reports from 2005, the global gap year market is expected to be worth £11 billion within the next two years.
