Annual insurance policy 'more beneficial' for frequent travellers
Legal professionals who go on holiday more than three times a year may want to consider the advice of an insurance expert.
Peter Gerrard, head of insurance research at Moneysupermarket.com, said that frequent travellers could benefit more from an annual policy which - for travellers to Europe - can be bought for just over £30.
"The rule is that if somebody goes away three or more times a year, it's more beneficial really to take an annual policy," he commented.
Mr Gerrard also said that those travelling to music festivals in the UK should also consider travel insurance.
In a recent survey by Gapyear.com, a quarter of young travellers said they travelled underinsured or without any insurance at all. The advice website says that this could put their parents' homes and financial security at risk.
Meanwhile, 19 per cent of respondents to a YouGov survey said they had been the victim of a theft while in Spain.
