Wesleyan has been named Insurer of the Year at the General Practice Awards in London.
The awards were presented by Phil Hammond, the GP-turned-comedian who is a familiar face to TV viewers after appearances on programmes such as Question Time and The One Show.
Wesleyan was shortlisted for, and ultimately won, the award after being recognised as an important insurance provider for medical professionals following a survey of more than 60,000 primary care professionals across a range of business and clinical disciplines.
Sam Porter, Wesleyan’s Marketing Director, said: “It is great that the medical profession has recognised us as Insurer of the Year.
"Wesleyan Medical Sickness has been helping medics with their financial planning for more than ahundred years, and awards like this show our service is still as important to them as ever.

The General Practice Awards were organised by Campden Health, publishers of Management in Practice and GP Business magazines.
The ceremony was attended by representatives from surgeries and clinics from across the country, as well as leading service providers.
