Wesleyan Customers Receive Mutual Benefit

Wesleyan Assurance Society, the financial services specialist for doctors, dentists, lawyers and teachers, is rewarding customers with a £100 cash back scheme.

Over 70,000 qualifying customers will receive a £100 voucher which can be used against home and motor insurance products.  Wesleyan is currently offering a price match on home insurance policies, in addition to the £100 voucher, so customers are almost certain to make a saving*. The voucher can also be transferred to a member of the customer's immediate family and is valid until the end of 2011.

Craig Errington, Wesleyan's Chief Executive said, "Wesleyan has been operating as a mutual for 170 years now and as such we are owned by our customers.  According to the Association of Mutual Insurers, PLC insurers paid out on average 3p to shareholders for every £1 invested by their customers in 2009. As we don't have these shareholder costs, we can share our profits with our customers through schemes like this as well as through market-leading payouts."

Parveen Kumar of the Wesleyan Medical Sickness Advisory Board and President of the Royal Society of Medicine said, "This is a great way for Wesleyan to reward customer loyalty.  The Mutual Rewards scheme delivers real savings on the most essential forms of insurance at a time when people might need to manage their cash flow more carefully."
