How to plan your career in medicine effectively
Wesleyan Medical Sickness are pleased to support a series of free career planning seminars, which will help you make informed decisions so that you can plan your career in medicine effectively.
Seminars will be held in selected medical schools until February 2013 for final and penultimate year medical students and will be delivered by senior doctors from Healthcare Performance Ltd.
Each talk will be tailored to focus on your particular needs at that point in the academic year and will cover one or more of the following subjects:
- Understanding the principles of career planning
- How to effectively capture clinical experiences on your elective
- How to ease the transition from student to Foundation training
- How to survive in the NHS
- Understand the principles of professional conduct and behaviour
In addition, your Wesleyan Medical Sickness Student Liaison Manager will cover why it’s so important to protect your future income in case you become ill or have a serious accident and will be available to discuss your immediate financial considerations.
