We have close working relationships with the teachers’ union NASUWT and other bodies involved with education.
Our relationship with the NASUWT
As one of the few companies approved by the NASUWT we regularly talk to NASUWT members about a wide range of financial services. This includes face to face financial advice on important issues such as investments, mortgages, loans, pensions, protection products and savings. Meetings with our Financial Consultants are completely without obligation and they can visit you at home or at school at a time to suit you.
Sponsoring Fun to Save
Wesleyan for Teachers is part of a mutual organisation that supports Fun to Save – an initiative that encourages healthy attitudes towards money and savings in young people by making money come to life with fun activities at home and at school. Fun to Save aims to become the national benchmark for teaching financial capability in primary schools across England, Scotland and Wales.
Supporting Saving Squad
We’re also encouraging older children (age 7-11) to develop good savings habits through Saving Squad. This is a virtual world where children can have fun learning about the money related topics such as pocket money, shopping, being thrifty and even recycling. As with Fun to Save, we’re one of several mutuals that support the initiative which is also designed for use in schools as part of the national curriculum.
