AHDS appoints Wesleyan to provide financial advice to its members

The Association of Headteachers & Deputes in Scotland (AHDS) has appointed Wesleyan, the specialist financial services provider for teachers, as its expert partner providing personal financial advice to its members.

The financial mutual has a team of specialist consultants in Scotland who have in depth understanding of the teaching profession. They can provide AHDS members with one-to-one financial advice, as well as provide them with a range of products and services, including savings, investments, loans and insurance.

Greg Dempster, General Secretary of AHDS, said: "Wesleyan has a great understanding of the financial needs and concerns teachers will face throughout their career. This partnership will be another added benefit to our members and we look forward to working closely with them over the coming years."

Kevin Boyle, Wesleyan Area Manager in Scotland, added: "We have worked hard to build relationships with the teaching profession in Scotland and are delighted to form this partnership with AHDS.

"Teachers have faced a lot of upheaval with their finances in recent years, especially with the changes to the Scottish Teachers Pension Scheme. Our financial consultants are experts in the teaching profession, which means AHDS members can have confidence that we will be able to provide ongoing advice throughout their career to retirement and beyond."

AHDS is a trade union for Headteachers, Deputes and Principal Teachers from nursery, primary and special schools in Scotland.
