Wesleyan unveils new Conference Centre to honour Chairman's retirement.

Wesleyan has unveiled a brand-new Conference Centre, named in honour of its retiring Chairman Dr Bryan Jackson CBE.

The 'Bryan Jackson Conference Centre' was opened at Wesleyan's Birmingham headquarters and marks ten years of service by the Chairman, who retires at the end of this year.

Speaking at the official opening of the Centre, Dr Bryan Jackson CBE, said: "Serving as Wesleyan's Chairman for the last seven years, as well as three years as a non-executive director has been a real honour.

Over this time, I've seen the Society grow and thrive during one of the most turbulent periods for financial services, certainly in my lifetime.

"Amidst the uncertainty in the industry, we've worked tirelessly to stay true to our values and focus on delivering products and services that reflect our customers changing wants and needs. And I'm incredibly proud of this.

"I'm privileged to have my name associated with the opening of the new conference centre. I look forward to seeing the Society make further progress over the coming years and wish Nathan Moss, who will replace me as Chairman next year, the best of luck in his new role."

Craig Errington, Group Chief Executive at Wesleyan, said: "Bryan's expertise has driven the Society forward tremendously over the last decade. Our new Conference Centre is a perfect legacy to remind current and future employees of the impact he has had.

"We wish Bryan all the best in his well-deserved retirement."

The new conference centre has 18 rooms with the latest agile meeting technology, a learning and development hub as well as a state of the art video suite.
