Two of our advisory board members have proven themselves to be leading voices in the GP community after being voted as some of the most influential GPs in the UK.
Professor Steve Field, CQC chief inspector of primary care and member of the Wesleyan Members Advisory Board has been named the 2nd most influential GP in the UK (up from 6th in 2014) in the 2015 Pulse Power 50 list.
Steve is a Birmingham GP and also an honorary professor at the universities of Warwick and Birmingham. He is also a member of the Faculty of Harvard University's programme for leading innovation in healthcare and education.
Dr Krishna Kasaraneni, Sheffield GP, chair of the GPC Education Training and Workforce subcommittee and chair of the Wesleyan Junior Advisory Board, was voted as the 13th most influential GP.
Krishna has led negotiations to reverse the workforce crisis and deliver the fabled 5,000 new GPs promised by the Government and is also part of the team that put together Health Education England's 10-point strategy to improve GP recruitment.
