News Release - Wesleyan Sponsors NHS70 Awards Category

Wesleyan is proudly sponsoring the 'Excellence in Mental Health Care' category of the NHS70 Awards that take place later this year.

This award represents the dedication and hard work of individuals and teams who are at the forefront of improving support available to those with, or at risk, of mental ill health - something that can affect anyone at any time.

Wesleyan recognises the importance of Mental Health and values the insight that we gain from our Members and customers, many of whom are actively working in industries where mental health is of real concern.

At Wesleyan, we recognise the importance of not only looking after our customers, but also our communities. Wesleyan was established in 1841 - to help workers in Birmingham save for sickness and funeral expenses during the Industrial Revolution.

Since we were founded, we have cherished our mutual status. It's an integral part of who we are and with no shareholders, our focus is on members and customers. We work to benefit those who invest in our business. Not only for today, but also for the future.

Supporting charitable organisations remains at the core of what we do today. In 2017 we launched the Wesleyan Foundation with the aim of giving £1 million per year to good causes.

In April 2017 we also commenced a two year journey with Partnership for Children. This amazing charity focuses on ensuring the good mental health of children for life. We are working together to create a world in which fewer children will need treatment for mental health problems, by providing teachers, parents and carers with relevant skills, support and resources.
