Personal Income Protection Plan for Dental Students and Newly Qualified Dentists

Key benefits:

  • Cover for you as a student and then as a newly qualified dentist
  • Wesleyan pays the premium on your behalf in your final year of studies and for up to two years as a trainee dentist
  • Benefits payable are tailored to fit specifically around the NHS sick pay scheme
  • Flexible cover options to adapt to your future career and lifestyle changes

Protect yourself. Protect your future.

Wesleyan can help you to ensure that your financial health doesn't suffer, if you become unable to continue your dental studies or work due to an illness or injury.

A Wesleyan Personal Income Protection Plan can provide you with a tax-free income, which can help you to meet your outgoings, such as bills and rent, should you become ill or suffer an injury or have an accident that prevents you from studying or practising as a dentist.

Wesleyan will pay the premiums for you throughout your final year of study and whilst you’re still training as a new dentist, for up to two years.

As a plan designed specifically for new dentists, benefits payable in the first five years are tailored to specifically fit around the NHS sick pay scheme, meaning that when sick pay reduces or stops, your income protection benefits will start.

To qualify for benefit, your illness or injury must prevent you from completing your studies or, once you are working, from following the occupation you were engaged in at the time.

If, once you qualify, you stop paying premiums you won't get any money back and will no longer be covered.
