Protect yourself. Protect your future.
Wesleyan can help you to ensure that your financial health doesn't suffer if you become unable to continue your medical studies or work due to an illness or injury.
A Wesleyan Personal Income Protection Plan can provide you with a tax-free income, which can help you to meet your outgoings, such as bills or rent, should you become ill or suffer an injury that prevents you from studying or practising as a doctor.
Wesleyan will cover the cost of your Personal Income Protection Plan throughout your final year of study. And when you become a newly qualified doctor you can benefit from specially discounted premiums for up to five years.
As a plan designed specifically for new doctors, benefits payable in the first 5 years are tailored to specifically fit around the NHS sick pay scheme, meaning that when sick pay reduces or stops, your income protection benefits will start.
To qualify for benefit, your illness or injury must prevent you from completing your studies or, once you are working, from following the occupation you were engaged in at the time.
If, once you qualify, you stop paying premiums you won't get any money back and will no longer be covered.
