Wesleyan appoints Faraz Tasnim as Chief Operating Officer

Wesleyan Group has appointed Faraz Tasnim as its Chief Operating Officer (COO) to support the next phase of its ambitious growth strategy.
Faraz joined Wesleyan from Quilter in 2022 as Group Transformation Director, bringing 20 years’ experience across transformation, commercial finance and consulting roles with businesses including Direct Line Group, Hastings Direct, Lloyds Banking Group and Rolls Royce. He was promoted to Wesleyan’s Group Chief Transformation Officer and became a member of its Group Executive Committee in April 2024.
Over the past three years, he has shaped Wesleyan’s transformation agenda – leading change that has strengthened the business’s operational resilience, accelerated its digital transformation and improved customer and colleague experience.
In his new role, he will continue to strengthen Wesleyan’s capabilities as the business progresses against an ambitious growth strategy focused on deepening relationships with its customer base of doctors, teachers and dentists, enhancing its investments and advice proposition and improving the digital experiences of customers and members.
Faraz replaces David Stewart, who is departing Wesleyan at the end of 2025 for a new role in financial services after six-and-a-half years with the business.
Mario Mazzocchi, Group Chief Executive at Wesleyan, said: “Faraz has been instrumental in evolving how we operate as a business, ensuring that our transformation continues to keep us rooted in delivering better outcomes and experiences for our customers. As Chief Operating Officer, he will play a central role in ensuring our operating agenda continues to fully support our ambitious growth plans, as we work to deliver even greater value to our members, customers and colleagues.
“On behalf of all of us at Wesleyan including the Board, I’d like to thank David Stewart for his outstanding contribution to the business during his tenure as COO. Under his leadership, we’ve built a track record of operational excellence, successful change delivery and a strong foundation for further growth. We wish him every success as embarks on his next role in the new year.”
