What’s not covered?
Unfortunately, surgery insurance can’t cover everything. For example, national or global threats (such as wars), nuclear risks or pandemics. Here’s more on what isn’t included:
Buildings and contents
Wear and tear, gradual deterioration, vermin, rust, damp or mildew.
Business interruption
Any business interruption from compulsory closure that is not local to the insured premises.
Computer breakdown
Loss, destruction or damage to any computer equipment caused by malicious activity, hacking, viruses or similar mechanisms. For this cover, you may need cyber insurance.

Excess protection
If you need to make a claim on your insurance policy, you can claim your excess back following its successful settlement. Choose your policy pay out, from £250 up to £2,500.
